I was recently scrolling through some social media when I came across a post about male models masturbating. This topic made me really question myself. I had never heard of this before and it struck me as odd that male models would engage in such a prominent and public act. I was perplexed and had to know more.
Considering that male models tend to be idolised by many, this certainly made the idea of them masturbating in public even more strange. For me, I think it’s something that would be done in private or with one other consenting partner. To have it in public just went against my morals.
Then it got me are wondering what must these teenage male models be aiming at that would make them want to do this? I’ve heard of many teenage guys letting it all out on camera, but this was different. I suppose it can be viewed as a statement or an act of empowerment in recognising their own body and sexuality. That in of itself is certainly bold and brave, although there are probably a million other ways to do these things in an equally powerful manner.
After thinking for a moment, I decided that this was not something I could agree with, at least not in the way some of these teenage male models were doing it. It’s still a strange act, especially in the public sphere and I’m not sure that it creates the most positive or empowering message about sexuality. In fact, it could be quite damaging in trivialising the personal nature of intimate acts.
All that said, I do think being sexually liberated and exploring your body is important for any individual. Masturbation is a part of life and should be a healthy and private one. I’m not sure that this applies to teenage male models masturbating in public, dildos and I’d like to think that there are better ways to be sexually liberated rather than performing as a spectacle on social media.
I also think the teenage male models involved must have really considered the risks and implications of such an act. Everyone has their own way of exploring their bodies and should do so in a way that makes them feel happy and comfortable. However, this isn’t something that should be taken lightly, and I think that teenage male models have to be extra aware of the consequences in this situation.
It’s important they know the potential backlash they may face, such as legal consequences, as their masturbation activities may not be legally permissible in some countries. Also, dildos while for some people their bodies are their own business and they should be free to express themselves in this way, it’s worth noting that even in exposure to a protected group, there can be legal implications such as discrimination.
In conclusion, I believe teenage male models should be aware of the risks associated with masturbating in public, and should weigh up the potential backlash. This is especially true if they are considering taking part in a public representation of such an intimate act. I think it’s best they take care of their body and sexuality privately, so that it can be enjoyed in full within the confines of one’s own space.
